If you are planning a trip with the family, you should certainly travel to the wonderful city of Blackpool. Located on the North-West coast of England Blackpool boasts some of the greatest family attractions in the country. Your kids will love it and you will too. There is truly something for everyone here. Let us show you what we’re talking about.
Sandcastle Waterpark
This is the largest indoor water park in the UK. If you’re from America, you’re probably wondering why on earth you would have an indoor waterpark. Well, the weather is not always as rosy as it is in places like Florida, so if you want to enjoy tropical waters, this is your only option. And what an option it is with the dark water rides as well as a halfpipe that is sure to scare the dads.
The park also has one of the longest flume rides in the world and plenty of different play areas for both adults and kids. If you want our advice, you’ll rent a tiki room. This is a luxury penthouse room where you can relax, surveying the pool and dining on delicious meals. You’ll also have your own private hot tub and a flatscreen TV. We recommend that you go to Sandcastle early in the morning as through the day it tends to get busy.
A Good Meal
There are plenty of Blackpool restaurants to choose from when selecting a place to dine. Whether you are stopping in for a spot of lunch or staying for an evening meal, you are in for a real treat. If you want to dine in luxury, we recommend The White Tower.
With excellent service and fantastic dishes, you’ll love stopping by for a feast in this little haven on the beachside. Once you have had a lovely evening meal, you should take a walk down by the pier. At this time of year, the illuminations have been lit, and you’ll see a beautiful spectacle of dazzling lights down a golden mile of coast.
Pleasure Beach
If you’re stopping by, your second day should be almost dedicated to Pleasure Beach. This is one of the UK’s best theme parks. It includes Nickelodeon Land where your kids and meet and play with characters like Spongebob Squarepants. For the older members of the family, there are some truly incredible thrill rides.
Pleasure Beach boasts the only rollercoaster in the UK that is completely suspended over water as well as Valhalla. It’s a Viking-themed log flume with steep drops and massive flames cutting across your path. It will certainly scare the life out of the youngsters in your group. Be sure you buy a poncho though otherwise, you will get wet and quite possibly soaked.
For The Parents
If you fancy an evening away from the kids, you should visit Blackpool at night. Then you can experience some of the best entertainment the city has to offer. It even has Las Vegas-style cabaret shows that you are sure to love. Then, come home and settle down for the night in a five-star hotel room.
There is no doubt about it. We know Blackpool is the place you want to be.
