A travel friend has luckily already been to Bali so here’s her travel advice for travellers heading in that direction. It’s the perfect read, especially for me ahead of my trip to Indo in just over a month’s time.
I recently wrote about my travel experiences in beautiful Bali. For a long time I have been telling all my family and friends that they simply must explore this paradisaical corner of the world. But I also want to extend this recommendation to you, my readers. So, here are five reasons why I encourage you to add Bali to your bucket lists.
It’s beautiful
I don’t think it’s possible to describe just how beautiful this island is. Everywhere you look there is some natural beauty that completely takes your breath away. The landscape is a stunning blend of tropical forests, waterfalls, caves, white sand beaches, soaring volcanoes and much, more. Have a look at some of the pictures from my trip and you’ll see just what I’m talking about.
It is incredibly romantic
It is no surprise to me that many couples from around the world choose to tie the knot or honeymoon in Bali. The palm-trimmed beaches, volcanic mountains, and dramatic sea-cliffs would be a stunning backdrop to one of the most special occasions in your life. But even if there is no wedding involved, Bali is a perfect place for an extra special getaway with your other half. With luxurious accommodation like the Seminyak Bali villas, you can be sure you and your partner will have a perfectly passionate vacation.
The locals are warm
Everywhere you go in Bali you are always welcomed by smiling, friendly and helpful locals. The culture is deeply rooted in spirituality, and this perhaps explains how lovely and laid-back the locals all are. It’s a far cry from the busy and tense atmosphere you feel in some of the big and bustling cities around the globe. Everyone I met in Bali was warm, and they always went out of their way to make us feel at home in their beautiful country.
There is a lot to see and learn
If you like exploring rich and interesting cultures while you travel, Bali will certainly tick this box for you. There are more than 20,000 pura (or temples) on the island. Each temple is unique, but they are all equally ornate and breath-taking. The Balinese also celebrate a number of colorful festivals and ceremonies which will give you unforgettable memories.
You couldn’t possibly get bored
As well as exploring the natural landscape, there are so many other things to do in Bali, which makes it the perfect destination. For example, the shopping is fantastic. Market stalls sell a whole host of magical souvenirs. There is also a great nightlife in Bali with plenty of vibrant bars and restaurants to choose from. And if you are into your water sports, then you’ll be happy as it’s one of the best places in the world to surf, snorkel, and swim.
Honestly, I could just keep listing more reasons why you should go to Bali. But I hope these have been enough to persuade you to add Bali to your bucket list, or perhaps move it up a few positions.
